Blaggards are a four-piece Celtic rock band from Houston, Texas. The Houston Press has described them as "H-town's heir to the emerald throne of Phil Lynott and Shane MacGowan". The band plays what they call Stout Irish Rock, traditional Irish music mixed with rock n’ roll, informed by everything from Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley to Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath. Blaggards are most frequently compared to bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and the Pogues. This is a fun, fun, FUN band to see.
